January 25, 2015 - Form Flight |
||||||
I flew over to Easton this Sunday morning. Mugsy, Jim, Chaz and myself briefed for a four-ship form flight. Chaz was flying a T-34. I was lead. We were all a little rusty so we spent a good 45 minutes going through all the basics. Then the T-34 broke off and the three of us landed at Cambridge for lunch. I had a tasty crabcake sandwich. We departed and did another 30 minutes of form practice, this time with Mugsy as lead. Mugsy and Jim headed back to Easton and I broke off for the flight back to Essex Skypark. There was a broken layer at 3,500 feet so I zoomed on top for something different. The sun was off my left shoulder and created a circular rainbow just above my right wing. I tried to take a picture, but it didn't come out too well. It looked pretty cool, though. |

The blue circle shows where the rainbow was.

It's a whole different world on top.
Convientently, I encountered the hole as I approached the Bay.
|
||||||
It opened up nicely for me so I dropped through.
That white spot in the Chester River is a flock of birds.
Crossing the Bay, I came across two Naval Academy Yard Patrol craft in line asterm formation, heading south back to Mother B.

Mind your helm, mister!
